A news story published recently on Yahoo told of a new study and book out by Nina Teicholz titled
The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat, & Cheese Belong In A Healthy Diet
A new book based on 8 years of research goes on to say what many experts have been saying for quite some time now: "That animal based fats are actually good for us. And by eating more carbohydrates instead, we've been wreaking havoc on our bodies."
Please understand that Nina Teicholz is not suggesting we eat nothing but animal based fats, however we should balance our diet with green vegetables, cauliflower, or mushrooms, etc., that are low in carbohydrates. Have potatoes, rice and pasta, just do not make those foods the center of your meal. We have to get away from years of education on making carbs the center of our diet. A big mistake.
This makes the Paleo Diet look so much better and something my wife and I have been using for the past several years. Getting away from processed foods and complex carbs. It has been working for us!
